Christopher A. Burks, M.D.

Charles J. Winters, M.D., Spine Specialist, joined Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists in 1989, and is the founder of the Spine Center. He specializes in problems of the spine and general orthopaedics. He completed a spine surgery fellowship at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1989. He served as the Chief of Surgery at Biloxi Regional Medical Center (1994-95) and as Vice President of the Medical Staff at Biloxi Regional Medical Center (1991). He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a 1983 graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Medicine.

The Spine Center of Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists provides innovative, state-of-the art treatments for spine patients. Dr. Winters, a highly trained specialist, provides a wide array of surgical and non-surgical treatments for every type of spine disorder. He is one of the most comprehensive and experienced spine specialists in the region. Our goal as spine care specialists is to provide the best possible spine care in a personalized and compassionate manner.

Dr. Christopher A. Burks, M.D. joined Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists in August of 2015. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine Medical Center in Houston, Texas, and received his fellowship training in orthopaedic and neurological spine surgery at the University of Virginia. Dr. Burks earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Engineering from Mississippi State University, a Master of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University, and his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Tulane School of Medicine. Dr. Burks is licensed to practice medicine in Mississippi. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
